Was able to get out with some members of my detecting club to an old park. Found some wheat cents and got a nice tone, dig down about 10" and found this nice 1845 LC. Had a good time hunting today with some nice MD friends. Hope everyone was able to get out.

Nice Large Cent Tomjj! Wish I could find one of those big pieces of Copper up here. Rick(ND's) wife found one a couple years ago in a park that had a balldiamond and that is exactly where she found it, in the Balldiamond. I couldn't believe it since North Dakota didn't become a state until 1889. Finding things that old is very hard unless you find an old enough farmstead or spot along the river.
