Found out something I probably should knew

Just got a 3Khz coil for my Xterra 705 and decided to try it out at a local playground area. Did the normal NC and GB. I then moved to a sand volleyball court and then to a different area of the park. Redid a NC and GB. GB reading came in at 2. Knew that wasn't right, took coil cover off to remove sand, re-did GB, now 28. Just wasn't thinking dry normal sand from a volleyball court would have that effect.
