You sure have the great spots & finds. Those Walkers are hard to find, been many a year since my last one. Thx fir the pics - sorry I'm on the other side of the world or you would have competition :) Steve in so az

with your coil or do you have like an inner tube cable tied to the coil as a bumper to keep from hurting the coil?
You sure do get some good finds.

I just have a coil cover, but I hunt very slowly so as not to miss those very faint sounds so it doesn't get bumped that much

What a great hunt! I have not found a Walking Liberty half in a few years! :) Congrats on the oldies!

Super finds, I have yet to find any old coins (just clad for me), I am very happy that someone is.

This particular old beach is loaded with old , older, oldest coins, but it is backbreaking work at times to dig under those rocks that emit that clear, strong, singing silver sound

Wow Magyar, What an inspiration to get out and hunt! Early bird may get the worm but Magyar gets the finds! I have been planning a trip since last year to go down the east coast and come up it with a metal detector back to NY. I got sick on Feb 5th and still have some leftover ailments that don't want to let go. Anyway almost everything came together, upgraded my truck to a newer model, studied throughout the winter, bought my first water machine a few days ago (Surfmaster PI), finally ordered my Ace 250 Sports pack yesterday, and now I am just trying to find a reansonable priced Truck Cap. I figure I haven't found the cap yet as the Lord doesn't want me to leave yet. I was supposed to be in FL today, the start of Spring Break, oh well, in His time, not mine! Keep up the posts, great finds! Thanks for sharing, Tim

Hey, Tim,

If you ever come by the New Haven area....let me know and maybe we can hunt one of those old beachs together.

Thanks Magyar, appreciate the offer, you are certainly an experienced detectorist by your posts and finds. I was born in St Raphaels hospital! I noticed you carry your camera along with your hunts, great idea, can't wait to get out and search. Just finished reading the manual for my Surfmaster PI, it will work inland although really designed for salt water areas. Guess I'll wait til my Ace 250 arrives. Things are still pretty frozen up here anyway. My first hand scoop arrived today, my extra battery packs and O-Ring for the Surfmaster arrived yesterday, bought plenty of batteries, got my pouch, it's starting to come together!
