Found the little missing piece to the puzzle today. I've allways wondered what went on the face of this particular medal, now I know. Maybe my medal hung from a bar, I dont know. These medals come from 2 1938 sites . I got the wings the other day and the sterling silver back in the summer. all within a few city blocks of each location. I live in a old navy military city , so my chances of finding military stuff is good . Found 3 more wheats today. The man next door to where I was hunting today said I could hunt his yard tommorrow, his little house was built in 1938:thumbup: I want an old lot to hunt so bad, but for now The ATPRO and I will take what we can and there are so many treasures waiting:thumbup: Thanks for looking

[size=large]the iron cross denotes a USMC sharpshooter. i believe the corps had t/Sgt up until Korea. not sure. the corps would later put the cross rifles on all enlisted ranks insignias from lance corporal. thru master / sgt. that is E-3 thru E-8. they're lovingly called crossed BB guns those are some very nice finds.
