Found this today in my neighbors yard, any idea what it is ?

My neighbors keep telling me to come over and hunt their yard so today I finally did. I marked 5 coins in a matter of 5 minutes then went back to dig. The first 2 were Wheats, one is a 1955-D the other is not readable yet, waiting for the dirt to dry a little. But the interesting one is the one in the picture, any ideas what it is ? It's about the same size as a penny but thicker, thought it was a IH at first.

Got it, Thanks !!!!!!

It's a 1947 Canadian penny. Went back for awhile longer and ended up with 5 Wheats a 1966 Quarter and a nickel. there must be silver there somewhere

It certainly looks like an old King George English shilling, look on the other side it should say "shilling" i remember a similar coin from my childhood days. That is definitely king Georges head.

Regards Maureen..

That is a King George VI penny from Great Britain. George VI reigned from 1936-1952. He is the father of the current Queen Elizabeth II. The date should be in bottom center portion of the obverse. Im gonna guess based on condition that its early 1940s
