Frequency Question

Frequency Question

I have noticed when playing around with the different built in programs that they all have a set frequency (most 18 KHz) but they are never that there like 17.5 or 11.6 or whatever there never right on like 12 KHz or 18 KHz is there a reason for that ?

Thanks

They are different to help eliminate EMI, your Deus may be on a slightly different frequency to someone else's Deus.

I understand about the frequency shift to deal with interference from other detectors etc, my question was really just a curiosity question in that for example why doesn't the Deus come preset for 18 KHz at 18 KHz and then you shift it as need be, why does mine come for example (might not be 100% accurate) at 17.5 KHz, do they all come at 17.5 KHz or are they all slightly different ? I really don't think it makes any difference as I say it was mostly just a curiosity question.

Hi Bill, mine is the same way, if you go in to expert you can change it up or down but still never at 18KHz. All of the Deus are the same I think, my friends is that way also.

The frequencies are referred to as 4 - 8 - 12 - 18 for ease of communication purposes.
They are all setup as 4 - 7.7 - 11.7 - 17.7 KHz

Don't worry about the Deus not having whole number freqs operation numbers,,,and yes using offset and slightly change also.

Folks posting using round numbers when talking about freq,,, saves time,,and Deus users usually knows what is meant .
