I have a signal tracer amd tried to read "RF" from the coil, but the lowest my tracer will tune is 170khz, over 10 times what we're looking for here. I'd hoped for a harmonic to show up, but, nada.
It would take an oscilloscope or better test gear than I own to check it or perhaps someone from Tek who already knows the answer might feed us the info.
