Fresh from the ground.

Just walked in from a clad hunt, nothing special, but got a decent number of clad on one of our local school grounds and thought you "snow bound, frozen ground bound" guys and gals would like to see what you have forward to in a couple of months. I was swinging the Omega and had kept the 11 DD coil on. I was running 80 sen., 1 disc. and d3 tones. Left the Omega on 82 g b. I believe it was 59 coins for $5.32. Hunted for two hours. HH jim tn

Sounds like you got the Omega figured out pretty well!! Have you tried the stock coil much? like it?

School was built around 1980. I have never recovered even a wheatie from it, but it always seems to be teeming with clad. Our high today was 46. 3 or 4 degrees shy of normal for us this time of the year. HH jim tn

I have used the stock coil a lot and really like it. I switch between the three coils depending on trash, needed depth, and so on. HH jim tn

Nice haul Jim! Nothing like getting out and breathing some fresh air and finding lost "treasure"! Not bad at all for a couple of hours! HH!

Left the Omega on 82 g b.?

did you not ground balance?
Asking because i have been wondering if and how and when i might adjust settings from ground balance

all iron, when I am not concerned with getting maximum depth, I often don't do a ground balance and just leave it at the pre set g b. I am not sure I understand the "if and how and when" part of your question. Do you mean how to adjust g b off of the pre set # 82? HH jim tn
