I've had the Exp. SE Pro for about 1.5 years now, and hunt parks mainly. I've got one park that's fairly old (100+) and I've been told by the oldtimers it was hit pretty hard in the old days. Since getting the Exp., I'm finally getting the silver occasionally. I hunted the same park with another detector (a good one, but lower priced) and never found silver. Yesterday I found an area in the park that looked good: old trees, ground looked undisturbed (no grading or filling), and sort of a flat area on a hilltop where people would picnic or whatever.
Found two silvers yesterday, my first two silver day. Hunted for two hours. The 1905 Barber dime was about 6-7 inches deep, and had the classic "flutey" sound. I did nick it slightly on the rim. Also found the 1928 Merc. at 8-9 inches. And the small brass buckle was about 10 inches deep. Also found a lot of screw caps.
I think the most important factor for me on the Exp. was changing to IM-22 from the factory coins program. Once I did that I started getting the deeper coins. My theory is that the deep stuff may hit with a high FE reading on the first swing, and with the factory coin program, it's discriminated out. Also, slowing down was a big factor.
