Friday Penny Popping

I hit two spots this morning I have cherry picked in the past. They are close by so I figured they would be good for a few hours and clean up some of the pennies I skipped until the rain moved in. I managed 42 pennies and around the same amount of other denomination modern coins. Two bracelets one junk, the other is 5.61g Sterling Silver and has the owners name engraved on it. I tacked up a note on a nearby bulletin board with her name and my cell phone number and said I have something she might want back. No crank calls so far. I also like the little mortar board and diploma pin but it is some base metal. The cell phone battery gave me a real moment. Thought it was a bust dime until I got some of the mud removed. Rain came fast and furious so I scooted home.

I have had three new sites lined up for a week or so but since they involve a drive I have been waiting for some decent weather. Tomorrow looks like the day.

Looks like you had a good day:beers:

Looks like you got lots of good finds .:clapping:

The sight of lots of pennies makes me think of GOLD. And, as is typical, you go out penny popping and you always get other keepers too. :)

Great job- nice haul!!!!

Hah! I dug them all today too. I usually get tired of digging cents after an hour or so. Then one day (like today) I go back and get what I missed.

Makes me think of silver! My penny jar is over 1/2 full too. Can't wait to spend them!
