Friday's 2nd hunt plan

New member
At 6:00am going to hunt the park again, this will be my second hunt with my new x terra 705 with the 5x10 DD HF coil. I am going to set the noise cancel automatically, set the threshold, set the volume, set to 99 tones, set the sensitivity to where I hear it then back it off two notches, ground balance and will use program #1.
On my first hunt I did not do any of the above, I will still be concentrating on pinpointing until I have that learned. (I am following diggers advice on how to pinpoint)
I am using a coin probe I made and am trying to get good enough that I can hit the target with my probe within five probes into the ground but at this point I am not digging any of my targets I am probing for them and then popping them out of the ground. I will not start digging any targets until I become better at the pinpointing to avoid any damage by digging blindly so I do not upset any of the ground keepers; I will dig in the future but only deeper targets or targets that may be silver coins or jewelry.
I will post my results after the hunt with pictures of my trash and treasures and the cool probe I made.
HH to all

Good Luck...I am just heading out now. Going to try to get access to a turn of the centery huge brick building. It was an old veteran retirement home at one time. We used to ride our horses back there when I was a kid (I am 55 now) to get apples from several trees in the yard. Hopefully find more silver today !
