Hey folks. I got out last night for about 2 hours and came up with a few keepers.
I was pretty excited when I pulled these 3 tokens/coins from the same hole, about 11" deep...
1 1825(or 26) One Farthing
1 1837 "un sou" half penny token...AGAIN
1 181? U.S. Large Cent
I also picked up another token about 20 feet from those 3...it's an 1820 "Commercial Change" half penny token.
The military finds that come from this site amaze me. I have found military relics dating from 1812 right up to WW1...last night I picked up some sort of Navy button!?! No idea on it's age or origin. Any ideas!?! Also found what looks like a cap badge...it's stamped "239?? overseas battalion canada". I can't tell if the last number is a 9 for sure. Can anyone help on this!?
Other finds were a 1902 fishscale, some flat buttons, etc.
