Since starting the Deus a few months ago, I have mainly done coin hunting. I really like the full tone setting but I'm about to begin relic hunting again and I'm wondering about the advantages of using full tones where you're basically digging anything except possibly iron and maybe that if you think its a ball. I much prefer to keep the same tone settings regardless of the dig and will still dig all good tones, but am I missing some other advantage using full tones for relic hunting. I know some folks, like Tesoro users only want to hear one tone and no iron. Thanks!
Well,,
Using full tones for relic hunting will definitely work.
I don't use gold field programs.
As far as trying to go the 2 or 3 tone route,,,,the problem you will run into is,,,,you won't be able to run disc as low vs using full tones.
And a person can find some things in around iron and nails using lower disc (0-3) that can slip by you say using disc level 6-6.4 when using 2 or 3 tone.
Full tones,,,gives most of the iron a good tonal signal for recognition while you are moving your coil.
Now,,,in a good relic field,,,while using full tones and get get wrap,,,especially what I call 4 way wrap,,,,I' dig these,,,,can be good iron relics.
