I'm now armed with my new Explorer XS, Sunray x-1 probe, new gator digger, and a brand new minelab carrybag. I'm broke of course...but I have everything I need <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="">
now if only the 6" of snow we have would go away I could actually try this stuff out!!
On a sidenote...anything I need to know about using the X-1 probe!? Is it as simple as hitting the switch and sticking the probe in the hole? wow that sounds bad!!
Anyhow, I noticed when messing around with it in the house, it picks up signals from the sides of the probe as well...any way to narrow down where in the hole the target is?? Thanks!

Going to have the probe installed in the next two weeks on my XS. GOOD QUESTION THOUGH.....
Just hope the weather cooperates shortly as I'm in the N.E.
This question might have more OF A responce on the explorer classroom forum...

You should do very well with the X1 probe. It is the best accessory you could
have. Yes it will show targets off the
sides as well as the tip. Just remember
to switch it back to the main coil when you're done digging.
