Fun day, fuzzy picture

Hey all,

Not really a post worthy day but a fun couple of hours none-the-less, mainly just from the shear volume on non-clad finds. Five silver, five IHs, and 35 Wheaties. Also a 1930's Cracker Jack presidential token and a couple of early shell casings- Look to be about .44, centerfire but no head-stamp. Guessing they are from one of the earlier lever action rifles.

Sorry about the lousy pic, you should have seen the ones I tossed. But I'm sure we've all seen similar stuff IN FOCUS a million times before so a little imagination please.

Still too dry around here to go poking in grassy areas. I got a few good spots to check out but will wait for Mr. Rain. Might just sneak past silver 100 by the end of the year, certainly not anything like last year.

Been remodeling the house. Got the plumbing mostly yanked, traded Cast iron and galvinized pipe for PEX and PVC, lately been pulling all the knob and tube and squirrel chewed romex from the attic. Been a sauna up there all summer and temp almost needs to be 50s or lower to be tolerable. Don't know if I'll ever finish the house but at least have slowed the rate at which it is falling apart. Old houses can be like sausage factories; you really don't want to know how some of it works. Most of the original parts are built well and have held up well, but some of the later remodeling, electrical and plumbing in particular is well.... pretty scary.
