Funny event at my local University

Went detecting at my local University in Perth Australia this morning due to their Christmas shutdown. Got collard by the security guard detecting on the main lawn area of the Uni. He was interesting in what myself and my detecting buddy were up to out of hours. Told him the detecting machines were cheapies and didn't go too deep and how we dig the targets with a screwdriver and chisel or as last resort the plugger. Gave him a demo of the plugger taking a nice deep neat plug out and replacing it. His response was golden. He said carry on, but next time please submit a "WORK DOCKET" before you come down. Some how I just think they might say NO. We will just chance our luck next year is my guess.
Anyhow MY Fisher F2 dragged out another 22 Aussie dollars and a New Zealand 1 dollar:clapping:. Mates Whites MXT only 16 dollars

Your lucky that you didn't encounter one the security guards who used to work there.
He's been into metal detecting for years and would have probably run you out of town, let alone tolerate your detecting in the university grounds.
Submitting a "work docket" is unrealistic given that it's a bloody hobby. Would probably get a formal NO. Though sometimes in some cases, they do let you in on that premise, BUT, in most cases it's a big fat NO. That's because it's just so much easier to say NO...that's what I have encountered anyway.

The best of luck to you if you can get away with it.
