$7.35 in clad. No jewelry to be found. None, not even an earring or toe ring for cryin out loud. What's with that? When I first cranked up and started walking, beep. A dime. And the dimes kept coming like I was in a minefield of dimes. Then after a little while the nickels and quarters started showing up with the occasional penny. Pennies I leave in the hole and cover em back up. I don't like bothering with them but I know lots of guys like to keep them so I leave them. I was very excited and hopeful all the way because of all of the hot pockets of coins. I noticed one thing though. As I walked the beach digging these coins I could turn around and look behind me and I was walking in a corridor about 15 or 20 yards wide pretty far up the beach away from the water and the cuts. Looked like there were actually two cuts with a good buildup of sand between them. The cut nearest the water produced nothing and the second cut produced nothing. Just that 20 yard section and it was probably 50 to 75 yards in from the second cut. The tide was a minus .3 at about 3:07. I'm really starting to look at the beach in a whole new way. I guess the cuts can sometimes hold the finds but everything I've found for the past three days has been in the area above the cut, some close to the cut but some, like today, quite a ways up from the cut. I think if the jewelry had been there I would have found it. It just wasn't where I was even though the coins were. Tomorrow might be the last chance I have for a while so wish me luck. I want some more gold. Sorry, still no pictures yet but who wants to look at a bunch of dirty clad.
