Okay, the ground is frozen, so......
What would you guys or gals like to see come from Fisher next?

More in depth setup/tuning instruction manual/dvd on LTD for us slow people.

Something along this line.

http://detectorstuff.com/2009/03/02/discrimination-mode-sensitivity-and-depth-in-single-frequency-vlf-metal-detectors/

and this from "tvr"

"Now that I've read those links ... probably need to know something about the processing algorithms used as well as the actual frequency information for F1 through F7 other than lowest through highest. Been a few years since I've actually done digital signal processing; but with multiple filtering, windowing and transform operations, there is a lot you can do as long as you can process fast enough to provide timely responses. Really need to be inside the algorithms and see the responses from the modeling to be able to give a good answer. That said, interference can be splattered in strange ways so the best transmit / receive frequency may not be very predictable."

"What I've tried when it's noisy is to set sensitivity to where it is not totally overwhelming to hear a beep, but too noisy to hunt comfortably. Then I'd step through the frequencies one at a time and sweep and see if one made it better. Then I'd take discrimination up a little, then try the frequencies again. Tried DE and BP modes. I haven't stepped through all modes in the interference situations. I probably should. BP has been the quietest over all. If I found a little discrimination or a frequency helped, leave it there and drop sensitivity until there were only a few pops and zips. Then dig the good targets it finds."

Also the best beach/surf machine ever made. From my recent research it looks like all the beach machines have major pluses and minuses and there is a lot of room for improvement.

I know I ask a lot. But if you don't ask you don't get.:detecting:

I wish they would offer a factory upgrade for the old F75 to the LTD. Send in your old machine and upgrade it for a certain price. I think this is something they should offer since so many are out there. Don't you guys aggree??????

I recently purchased my first Fisher so I don't have a lot of "wishes" yet but.......I would like to see the F75 series stand up on it's own when I set it down, I don't like having it layed over and I'm not wild about adding one of those PVC pipe stands. I would also like them to change the vinyl in the meter dust cover to reduce the glare.

AND......NO I don't want them to offer the upgrade since I just layed out $1100.00 for the LTD.....LOL!! I really think this should be a dead subject, I never considered that Tesoro should upgrade my Silver UMax to a Tejon or a Cortes, I wasn't upset when Whites brought out the V3 and didn't offer me an upgrade to my DFX. I guess maybe I would never expect these things because I've been in sales all my life and I understand the philosophy of bringing new products to market and paying for R&D on those new products.
