FYI opening up rechargeable battery pack for sov gt

sov gt rechargeable pack slides open like the alkaline battery pack..just have to loosen the glue holding the batteries with a butter knife...now the only problem is if the small pc board has working components..

That little board you see is the regulator circuit board for the charging of the battery using the Minelab charger that come with it or any charger that will plug into the charging port.
You notice the batteries are different then what you normally see?? They can be gotten and replaced with some good soldering skill and right soldering equipment, or maybe taking it to a Battery Plus or one of the stores that specialize in battery's.

I went to the Battery Re-build Businesses here in South East Michigan to see if they could rebuild my Sovereign GT battery pack and they couldn't get the 1.2V Ni-Mh cells to do it... I found the proper cells here: www.MCMelectronics.com 1-800-543-4330 and did it myself... It's been working flawlessly for 3 months now.
