g-2 or goldbug....

Ok, I realize that they are the same effectively.. What I am thinking about is how do I get to the park? I'll be riding my mountian bike for about 1 mile each way. So I need to tie the detector to the bike frame between my legs.
I'm wondering if anybody else uses a bicycle for transport and does such.
I like the look of the g-2 but the gb might just fit my transport method better. Anybody else have thoughts here ???

The Gold Bug Pro is on a 3 part shaft, dismantle it and put it in a back sack / ruck sack, when you get to your destination, put it together, takes all of 3 mins to do.

Size wise they are abiout the same. The GB Pro upper shaft is maybe an inch or two shorter and the GBP pod sits about an inch lower with the different mount configuration. Center and lower shafts are the same length at least when I compare my GBP and Omega. I'm pretty sure the Omega and G2 share the same upper rod.

If you are budget minded and want 5 inch and 11 inch coils the GBP might be a few bucks cheaper. If you look at the going asking prices the GBP with an extra 11 inch coil will be about $40-$50 cheaper than a G2 with an extra 5 inch coil. BUT, shop around and call the small delaers and chance are you will pay even less. I have always found great deals and service with the small dealers.

Jimbog is right-I bought a goldbugpro for alot less than what other guys are advertising there's for.I Know any of the dealers on this forum will give you a very good deal.
If I was in the states I would gladly buy from anyone of the fine gentlemen dealers on this forum. They help me out alot with there vast knowlede of metal detecting and helpfull advise.
