While detecting possibly the trashiest park I've ever detected, I found lots of clad and this thing. I have no clue as to what it is. I found it in on the side of a steep hill where one might find change dropped as people slip and slide up and down it trying to get to and from a baseball diamond. It was just about an inch deep. It is about as big around as a half dollar (not as thick), and is light almost like aluminum. I figured it for part of a kids toy until I got home and got the dirt off of it. Now I'm just scratching my head over it.

One side has these words: " PS BEULAH RUNION LOVES JOE REED " In the center is a shamrock and the words " GOOD LUCK".
The other side just has a flag in the center of it. I cannot make out many of the details of the flag.

Like I said, I have no idea what it is. Part of a child's toy or a souvenir maybe? Anyone have any ideas about this one?

It's a good luck token given as a canival prize. you choose the text, and they would stamp it while you watched.
Real cool personalized find.

Always keep that token with you when you hunt. I found one at Cony island while beach hunting. 5 Min later gold !

Awesome! Thanks for the answer to my mystery. You nailed it right on the head! Mystery Solved!

Nice finds !!! G2 wow :teknetics::buds:

You dialed in the letters and pulled a side bar for printing each letter.. The finished token dropped down and you gave it to your sweety LOL

The likelihood of ever finding Beulah and Joe is terribly faint, but it would be cool to return this one (unless one of them is dead, or if they hate each other now).

I worked in a retail store years ago, and in the entryway was a machine that made those, along side gumball machines and such. People also use them to identify luggage. I remember digging one at a golf course, probably off a golf bag.

That's cool. I had never seen one until I dug this one. I knew that someone on this forum would know what it was!
