G2 vs G2+ and snake coil

I use iron volume a lot. I use notching and the back light on occasion. If you don't think you will use these features, it's not worth the upgrade.
I don't have the snake coil and my chances of buying another NEL coil are slim so I can't answer your other question. I can only say that the stock 5 X 10 is a great coil. I also like the Fisher 11 DD a lot.

I just purchased a CORS Shrew coil for my G2. Headed out on a prospecting trip, also planning to hunt some iron infested ghost town areas. I will let you know how the Shrew does with the G2.
