Gaming token?

I saw this in a display case at an antique store today. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to ask someone to open the case for me to inspect it closer so I took a picture of it. I think it might be a gaming token, but if someone here could ID it, that would be amazing. I think it is silver, and approximately the size of a silver dollar. Any ideas?

Looks like a Chinese Silver Dollar. In the early 1900s, China issued silver coins similar in weight and diameter to U.S. silver coins. They also used the same system (100 Cents=1 Dollar). That particular coin was probably issued by one specific province in China, since many different regions issued their own coins. We would need to see the other side to get an exact attribution. If the shop was offering the coin for the right price (around $30 or so), it could be a good buy.

Bought the thing for $5...Figured it was too good to be true. Turned out that it was too good to be true. It was a fake 1 Tael Kong Coin. It looked pretty good. But when I got it home, I took a magnet and it stuck.....Oh well.....at least I didn't pay spot for it...:usaf:
