gamma an delta question

the delta says it has 10 levels of disc.adjustment, an the gamma has 80. can someone explain the difference? or what this means?

With 80 levels you can accept or reject wider range of thing. You have a "broader" range to work with. With only 10 you many want to descrim a certain target out but its in same range of a target you want to accept.
Say a .22 casing is hitting on the #3 in the delta but so are small gold rings. If you descrim out #3 you will lose both.
On the Gamma .22 might be #34 and gold rings may be coming in at # 37. You could kick out the .22 casing but still leave in rings. I make any sense??
Call me if you have any questions or need better pricing! Love to help you

But remember, just because your detector might not reject and unwanted target, doesn't mean you HAVE to dig it:) Watch those numbers on the screen. BTW, I'm not knockin the Gamma at all, in fact may be picking one up soon (probably will get Omega though).

The Delta and Gamma each have eight (:geek: Target ID segments.

They also have a broad range of digital VDI number read-outs. The Delta provides VDI readings from '10' through '99' and the Gamma (and Omega) have numerical VDI read-outs from '1;' to '99'.

The Gamma and Omega both have variable Discrimination settings based on a specific number associated with the VDI response numbering from '1' to '80', allowing you to select eighty (80) different discrimination level settings.

The Delta has Discrimination settings of '10' - '40' - '55' - '60' - '75' and '80' which means you only have six (6) Discrimination settings.

Thus, the operator can fine-tune the Gamma and Omega while the Delta is a more simplified and quick Disc. adjustment through the first five TID segments, leaving the '80' and above reading (most better copper 1
