Ya know even when it was rainig fairly hard-I was glad to get out....
I was laid up for a week then the weather went to buckets. So just light showers in the forecast-I went for it.
Not a bad day when you can get both respect & opportunity.
The Opportunity token is most interesting. The symbols are early Chinese & basically say the same as the english side. But it is way heavy for its size. Rang in as a zinc but it was rock solid 77 VDI so I dug it.
The medallion is hard to see in the pics. The front has "Portland Federal Savings" 25th Anniversary1959. The rear is spectacular in fine detail that just won't show in a pic. It has salmon, power lines, pioneers, wagon's,trees, railcars, the works!. It is from Oregons 100ths anniversary 1959 & has a small state seal upper left. There is one on E-bay for $10.00 so not really valuable-but way cool.
3 wheats & a small .925 charm rounded out the clad.
Good to be back..
Cheers!
