gamma tones

Just sold my month old gamma.I really liked how the id locked on at depth,a really deep and accurate detector. But the high tone for coins was weak and volume was low, manual also stated this. I have some hearing loss but I can hear my old f4 fine the high tones on all my detectors are sharp and clear. My question is. All all tecknetic machines like this ? How about the other f series. Really want to up grade but need some more info .

Thanks for the post Jim But not sure what you're telling me. Do all the detectors you listed have the same tone configuration as the Gamma?

The F5 has 4 selectable tones for all metal LOW, MEDIUM, MEDIUM/HIGH, AND HIGH. Guess you could choose the one that suits your ear best?

I, too, have a high frequency hearing loss (thank you, Uncle Sam) due to very bad tinitus. I am assuming you are using headphones, correct? Have you tried any different ones to see if they help with hearing the frequency range you are having trouble with?

They have multi tones with one being a high tone, higher then the Gamma. I also have an Omega and its tones are like the Gamma....not nearly as high as those detectors I've mentioned. I'm living with the Omega's soft high tone, but much prefer the more distinct high tone that is on the F series detectors. HH jim tn

Thanks Jim Thats what I mean .I took the Gamma to a park that has gave up wheaties and silver but its real trashy. Pull tabs and trash came in loud and clear I had to listen for the high tone.Turning up the volume had no effect on the difference. I like the Gamma features and performance .But better audio would make it a lot more fun for me to use. Does the F5 have the same or similar audio as the F4 or is it like the tecks, anybody know?
