garret 2500 gti question, all matal mode

I have a question.
How to use the detector in all metal mode, because in discriminate mode it;s a poor detector.I foud just modern coin at 6 inch deep in very good soil condition but just that.
I live in Europe and my friend with Gold Maxx power detect very smal coins like hamered silver coins and i do'nt detectect them .
How to resolve the problem? I understand that the key is all metal mode but i dont understand to use them. How can adjust them?
regards
Joan.

Apparently you don't understand how to use this machine. Perhaps you should have started out with a simpler model. Have you read and reread the manual or watched the video? Depth in discriminate is much greater than six inches. I suspect you are running your sensitivity too high. Drop it down to 6 or 6.5. Keep your coil off the ground about an inch. Scan slow as the 2500 has a slow recovery speed. Run your threshold at a very faint hum.

How to operate all metal is amply described in the manual on page 49 and is quite simple, especially with Fast Track. Just press and hold Fast Track while bobbing the coil up and down about two to eight inches above the ground until minimal sound is heard then release the button. The 2500 has quite a learning curve and takes considerable practice so don't expect to master it overnight..

Thanks Bill
I use this detector from one year. I will try to use Fast track that you told me. I don't understand how to run treshhold at a very faint hum?

Scroll through the menus until you get to "Threshold" and use the "+" and "-" keys to adjust the threshold sound up or down as needed until you just hear a hum. Press "Operate" and you're all set. Sometimes you'll detect a target by the threshold sound dropping out, which is why I like a faint hum.
