Garrett 2500 hip mount

Has anyone ever tried to Completely hip mount a GTI 2500 or other Garretts. I really love what Garrett machine do, but I could do with less weight. I know the battery compartment hips mount but I was looking for more. I do not care to go to the Ace 250 for the weight .
