Interesting technique. I get a similar result (less digging of large junk targets) by eliminating the nickle slot when in the coin mode. I then go back over the area with my gold mode ( nickle slot, one below and two above). This also allows me to run the sensitivity a little higher because I am not getting all that annoying bounce. I wonder what the stationary mode will say a gold ring is?

I never would have purchased my Ace had I watched these videos beforehand.
I also never would have believed I could find coins as well as I presently do had these videos been viewable to me earlier.
To me, they come across as if the videos were made by a competing brand of detector. I am sure they aren't but TO ME that is the way I percieve the content.

I understand what his point was to show the bad points. I will try these methods and see how well they work. But I won't be able to use the all metal mode in some of my haunts because they are very trashy sites and if I use all metal my detector won't stop ringing!! Will let you all know how I make out!!
