Garrett BFO finds 9-8-09

I took my old Garrett's BFO detector out again yesterday and picked up some of the usual suspects, and something different. What's the chance of finding a coin in Indiana that has "United States of America" on one side and "20 centavos" on the other?? I was confused when I started checking my take and found this in with my other coins. I remember digging it up and noticing the knurling around the edge but no time to mess with it then. It turned out to be a bit of history. The P.I. was a U.S. possession in 1944, although the Japanese military had other ideas. This is the first piece of silver I've dug up in 40 years. Its a start. I love my old Garrett's Master Hunter BFO! I also found a couple of double handfuls of pull tabs but that just keeps me in shape and cleans up the environment. bob

Now there is a really nice and unusual coin.
Found with a BFO no less. Most wouldn't
have an idea how to even run them.
WTG your determination with your BFO
proves it still can hunt. HH Gene
