Garrett Carrot mode question...

Can anyone tell me if the vibration mode wears the batteries down faster then audio? Like using the vibrate mode. Have difficulty adjusting the sensitivity. Believe I have it at medium power setting as full is just too much. Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, the vibration is done with a small motor, which will use more power than just the audio. But it shouldn't kill a battery rapidly very quickly.

Mike, I wouldn't be too concerned with batteries in a probe! One should last months provided it's a good cell such as "Duracell"

I change them out on average every 3 months whether necessary or not and to be honest, it's almost always unnecessary!

Great, thanks!

The carrot is not hard on batteries. I get some for free after they have been used in the church microphone. I get months of use out of them.

Regardless, always carry a spare.

I always use the vibrate mode due to being hard of hearing.. A battery usually last me 3-5 months.. Besides most need the vibrate mode to hear over traffic and curious kids..
