I was wonedering if anyone is using or has used a Garrett GTI 2500 detector, the pros and cons of this machine, and how it works at finding coins in lots of trash ex. pulltabs and pop tops. down 5-6 inches?

I use a 1500 which is basically the same less a few bells and whistles. Once you get some hours on the machine you'll love it. Get the hang of pinpointing and you won't want to hunt without the imaging. While I've never used a 2500, my 1500 is a coin magnet. The 2500 should detect with good discrimnination and target id as deep as you'll ever want to dig. If you want more 2500 opinions, go to the garrett forum. HH, Eric

Its a fine machine however a little clumsy and bulky to some. If your not interested in the all metal that ID's and a machine that talks to you might consider a 1500 as its basically the same unit in a smaller more comfortable package...Easily a 7-8 inch unit either way so should serve you well...
