Garrett GTI 2500Pro or Minelab Explorer SE ??? Im tryin to get my 2nd job again

I am going to get a 2nd job, actually my old night job, security guard, I just re-applied tonight and my state license is still valid. I had 2 full time jobs for years (I'm an insomniac), but when I bought everything that I wanted, I quit the night job. Now I want to buy 2 more detectors. I like my Ace 250, but I want something that will go deeper, and I want a beach detector (Minelab Excalibur II). It would take quite awhile to save up the money without it. But with a second job, it would just take 2 or 3 months.

I read that the Explorer SE Premium operates in multi frequency and the Garrett operates in single frequency. I also heard that the Minelab will show you the continuity of an object to help you determine what it is.

I have seen the Minelab in action, I saw a guy pull up 10+ Mercs just following behind me and my Ace 250 with the 9x12 coil. He was accurately detecting a a depth of 12-15 inches!!! He showed me targets that I missed, and he showed me false targets, he dug them up and sure enough it was right.

I am thinking I like the continuity scale because at the boy scout site, there is a ton of aluminium foil that registers as a solid dime with the Ace. He instantly knew it was foil, and dug it up just to show me.

What do you recommend??? And if you can, give reasons for your replies.

I want to buy this and have it for a good long time. Thanks for your input.

I had the Garrett 2500 for 4 years. never had a issue with it but one time detecting with a guy with an explorer at an old house he went to where I had already detected and found a silver 1/4. I thought well maybe I just missed it. A few minutes later he was still detecting where I had been and said. Come and listen to this deep target. As I went over it I would only get a tone once for about every 5 or 6 swings no matter how I went over it. He unplugged his head phones and every pass over it he got a tone. It ended up being just a wheat but was a 1909 wheat. Point being no matter what it was I had a very small chance of detecting it.
Next year I bought the explorer II.
One other point when detecting with the Explorer at an old park I got a tone that went back and forth between two numbers ( Yes I use the number screen ) It kept saying 26,24,26,24. I dug my plug and sure enough I got a Zink penny ( the 26 ) I filed my hole and went over it again and got just a 24. I redug the hole and got an Indian head penny ( the 24 )
cool thing about the explorer over the 2500 is with the 2500 you cant tell the difference from a Zink and a wheat or Indian. with the explorer a Zink is 26 a wheat 27 and an Indian a 24.
Last point on the explorer is it is hard to learn as it make so many different tones. If you know someone with an explorer as I did it will really cut down on the time needed to figure it out.
Fell free to ask any question. I'm no expert but may be able to help
