Garrett Master Hunter CX Plus Depth Package?

CampCache

New member
I said I would not get another machine for a long time but I really want to find some larger and deeper items. I will be looking for caches, cannon balls as well as other larger items. Some places are old home sites so there will be trash in some of the areas I will be hunting. I have reports from one CW campsite that was heavily shelled. One cannon ball was taken out of this field recently. It was solid shot about the size of a softball. Will this machine pick up a cannon ball of this size? Would it also pick up a CW rifle that has been buried?
Any help on using this machine would be great.

With the depth multiplier you would probably pick up either target at about three feet or four feet max(which ain't bad). It would ignore any smaller trash items as well. Another good thing about the depth multiplier is that you cover more ground faster because you don't swing it in front of you, you just walk forward holding the detector with your arm hanging straight down.

Best of luck to ya'!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

I assume you are talking about the Treasure Hound. It will pick up a gallon can at about four feet so it will easily detect those items at respectable depths. Good luck.

I bought a CX PLUS two weeks ago but right now only have the stock coil plus 4" coil. I really like this machine so far. It seems like a great all around detector my next purchase is the 10 x14 inch coil.
