Gary's Pulse 2 Induction Metal Detector

Franco32

New member
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I'm real green when it comes to detecting so bear with me. On the subject posted...has anyone had any experience with this home constructed detector? I've had some experience with electronics but this is still new to me. His design seems to incorporate most of the basics I see on many units. I don't have much to spend and his kit could be adapted to an old detector I have that doesn't work and never really did in the first place. Any comments.....Thanks, Franco

I have the Pulse 1 that I'm tinkering with. The secret seems to be the coil, the better its wound the better the kit functions. I'm mostly using it as a learning tool.
As of now on the test bench around all kinds of interference, a poorly wound coil and audio only, max depth is about 18-20 inches.
Great tool for learning and if you wish to invest the time, could go a lot deeper than my rig.
In addition, Gary is a great guy and will walk you through any difficulties you may have. He knows his detector.
However I believe he is not shipping any components at this time due to personal concerns. Contact him via Email, or phone if his # is on the site.
