I cut and ground this out of a section of 3 1/2" O.D. ABS black plastic pipe and polypropylened it to the base. Weighs less than an ounce. I took these pictures a couple of months ago when I bought the Deus and have been using it since, with no stability problems
 
That is a great solution!:thumbup: I made this,it's a knock off of another stand I use on my AT Pro. I made it out of Baltic ply,and coated it with black truck bed liner (tough stuff). Works great,but yours is a lot more compact,and out of the way! Ron
