General Service Cuff button and another unidentifed relic

Well, this morning I took the Deus on a two hour hunt. Found a cuff button that I can identify. But the other round item which has a "V" on it, I cannot identify. Or....considering the markings across the letter V......or Roma numeral five, whichever it is.......it could be the letter A. Can anyone help me out with this round item. Thanks.

Hey Kev,

I think the round thing might be out of a handsaw. Every time I find something like that I am dissapointed when my old time woodworking friend walks me to a saw!
