I found this Geocach Gamepiece this evening after dinner at a local neighborhood park. Rain and overcast skies most of the day made it a somewhat comfortable time to be out.
$2.56 in change and some gold colored...I don't know what
were the other finds. I had no idea what the black cylinder container (TID42) was till I got home. Looks like the last entry was in 2007. So it's been buried next to a PVC post for 7 years! It's aluminum from what I can tell and has a o-ring in the cap that kept it water tight. My guess is it was placed there to be found by other players, but I don't think it was buried at the time,but after not being found worked it's way into the ground. Geocaching.com is still an active web site so I might do some more investigating about it. GL ALL
