My link doesn't work, is that website still running?
Also,
What is a good PI schematic/plan?
I have extensive electronics experience and am looking for a good winter project.
Is the Goldpic 3 one of the better ones or is there a better plan/project available?

Carls site is down because it was costing him to much money. He is looking for another provider that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. When he does he will be back. Everyone on the net that is into MD is missing this site.
As for the PI project, I have built the Goldpic and it does as advertised. The problem is the Pic chip that you cannot change. Trevor has spent alot of time developing this PI. It is a good introduction to PI's. Others have tried the Magenta by Mark Stuart. The Magenta kit can be found at www.magenta2000.co.uk/kits/847.htm. Only use the 847 kit because it has all the correction updates. Also the Pic chip programming is also available to change at will. It would be nice if Carl's site was up because he has all the PI's down loads that are available on the net. I hope this helps alittle.

Not to worry as their's a mirror site of Carl's metal detector plans and info. As I recall this was done without Carl's permission, check it out though as it's there.
