Very interesting historical information, Pete. Thank you for sharing it with us.

When I visited northern Poland for one month a few years ago, I stayed at a friend's home in Northeast Poland ...beautiful agricultural countryside setting.

She and her family took my husband and me to many historical sites...the three that remain most
vivid in my mind are : Hitler's bunkers ...in an area along a railroad northwest of Mieseniec; Auschwitz ; and Birkenau

The memories of these sites are burned in my mind....what an experience!
