i am getting a t2 this coming week version 6.0.. just curious as to what the thoughts some users of the t2 have had. its strengths and weakness. any information would be great. thanks for looking and happy hunting...

As you go use more sens and figure out what discrmination you like using.. A Tip.. In trashed parks use preset GB.. you will do better. Unless you find some really clean ground.. Which is almost impossible.

Do not..Repeat..Do not e afraid of turning sens down on the T2.. it will do very well at lower settings on coins at depth..

Post your finds, Keep Digging until you learn it :teknetics:

got my t2 november 2010 , all i can say is these detectors are the dogs bollocks, i detect in the uk with 2 friends 1 has a t2 the other has a minelab etrac, the t2s smash the minelab etrac to bits every time we go out they are just as deep and way way faster response time ,half the time the etrac will get a signal and then you dig and loose the signal ,our friend has even walked away from a hole and we have gone back to it with the t2 and found the item ,settings for uk we use are sens,90,disc 10, tones 2+ cant fail sooooo fast love em

never heard of preset ground balance unless you're talking about the 90 that its at until you fast grab. thanks

n/t

why does everyone say that it is very important that you ground balance and do it oftenh while hunting. i hunt a lot of tot lots and i never ground balance then and really can't tell any difference in the way the machine performs. thanks.

I love both of mine. Batteries last forever. Excellent warranty. Light, easy to use. Now, if it only dug the targets.

As another u.k t2 user , i can reiterate my fellow country man,s comment ,this machine is the dog,s danglers...... had mine 8 weeks , i,m finding stuff my minelabs had definately been over and missed...including Henry v111 groat and elizabeth 1 penny...brilliant machine you can,t go wrong.......Have any u.k users used or are using 12x10 sef coils, if so did they see any increase in depth, over the stock coil......

Well it is better for max depth and targets thats on the brink if your in all metal. Ground makes less noise feedback if machine GB is dead on. Not as critical in Discrmination as you have learned using preset 90 from your post. I usually GBonce if clean ground is available and let it go after that. In trashed parks it works best if you don't even try. A bad GB can cause you poor depth more so than using factory preset that will work most areas ok.
