Getting another Itch !

Set me straight if you can. I got the itch and I'm scratching like hell at the bit. I'm thinking about buying the Garrett AT Pro. I still like may 705 but you know about the itch. If you have any experience with the At pro can you give me something to go on. Why or why not ??? I know how good the 705 is but !!! The AT pro has a lot of promise. Just your honest opinion. Thanks

I had one for a very short while. Couldn't get past the obnoxious audio.
Ended up keeping my 705 & Explorer SE, and bought a used Fisher 1280X for a dedicated fresh water machine for less than the cost of the ATP ($250), and it can go a lot deeper without swamping.

The Audio can be changed, that doesn't matter to me. I will take your response but I hope a few other chime in, Maybe I need to put my question on the AT Pro site too ! Thanks.
 
Personally, I might like the AT Gold better. From what I hear it has better tones, and it's a threshold based machine (which I prefer when possible).

I guess that I just don't get that itchy anymore. :shrug: And next time that I feel it, it will be the Explorer leaving the stable, not the Xterra.
 
I think your getting the itch (I can tell). Hey is my itch going to go away ?? It's killing me
