Got out today and what a nice day it was for digging. Got a nice 1833 LC cleaned up pretty good along with few three ringers and two swag base. Not sure what the brass screw might have went to, any idea? Hope the rest of you diggers got out and enjoyed today weather. Thanks for looking

Really nice finds!! That LC cleaned up really well. Full LIBERTY that is sweet. Did it ring up as a 34-35ish. How deep was it? Did get out for a couple of hrs today and managed 5 wheaties. That is about as good as it gets down here in Fl. sometimes. But I will take 'em when I can get 'em.
Keep it up!

It rang up at about 38 and was around 4-5 inches.

Mississippi,

Nice finds! The "swage base" bullets are actually manufactured by J.D. Custer (no relation to the Little Big Horn Custer) and are now called "Northern Manufacture Pressed and Turned" bullets. The marks in the base are from the mandrel on the lathe that turned the bullets to form the grooves. Always a nice bullet to find.
