[attachment 136986 100N-0292.1_DSC.JPG] Morning comes to Glacier Bay
[attachment 136987 TharSheBlows.jpg] Here thar be Whales , too.
[attachment 136988 100N-0407.1_DSC.JPG] We approached this Glacier at the end of the bay
[attachment 136989 100N-0415.1_DSC.JPG] To see it Calve off. Look at the three chunks of falling ice. Each bigger than a tractor-trailer rig. When the ice cracks it sounds like a shotgun firing. The sound of the splash of the ice is like breakers on the coast. Somewhere on top of this Glacier in the blue ice area is a lone Bald Eagle.
[attachment 136990 100N-0427.1_DSC.JPG] Can you see it yet? Look on the center ice peak.
[attachment 136991 EagleonIce.jpg] Here he is. Just shows how big the Glacier face is.

[attachment 136994 100N-0446.1_DSC.JPG] On the right side of the Glacier was an old Glacier slide area. There are two yellow dots just right of center near the water line. These are tents. To the left of center on the water line are two Kayaks and a triangler thing that looks like an antenna or sail.
[attachment 136998 MajesticGlacierSlide.jpg] One of the campers is between the Kayaks and the unknown object. There are many words that might desctibe these sights, but majestic is the one that comes to mind. Vernon and a few others have lived in Alaska, and I can't imagine anyone living there and seeing things like this every day, and not be awe inspired.
