Had me worried for a while...I thought we may have lost it all...
I just picked up a used White's Classic II SL for $100.00 as a a backup machine...If it works well, it may become my main machine...we shall see.
It is different not having the LCD readout on it though, but it is VERY accurate and pinpoints right on the money...literally.
Not quite as deep as my Land Star though..about 8 inches Max

I hear you BH-Landstar. Got sad when I couldn't get on to see your guys finds. Your new purchase sounds great. Will be eager to here your reports on the unit. Con grates.
 
Been too darn hot and humid here the last few days...It just sucks the energy right out of you...The ACs have frozen over twice already trying to cool the house...had to turn them on fan only for about 30 minutes...thought I was gonna die of heat exhaustion...Oye!!!
I will get out when it cools down a bit...
