Howdy,

Well, hunts six and seven were a bust over the last couple weeks. I tried out a few new (to me) places, seeing if there were targets and age. Only had a couple Wheats (and hard fought at that). We've been pretty pinned down with weather around here - lots of rain during available hunting times. Finally managed hunt number eight for the season, and again I tried some different spots. Well, if nothing else, I've eliminated some more places to sink time into at least. So last three hunts in a row, no silver coins. Picked up more Wheats though, which made me hang around a couple areas longer than I probably should since they weren't producing after the initial hope.

About the only thing that got me going was this token. At first I thought it was an amusement token since it's holed, but then I saw it had a pool hall name on it. These I don't find too often, so it was a fun one. Between this and a couple Wheats, I ended up scouring this one location for silver, but I kept hitting deep(er) clad instead. Bummer.

Thanks for posting all your finds - it helps get through the silver slumps...

We've been getting hit with a lot of rain here in NE Ohio as well. Yesterday evening we had a hail storm with some hail about the size of a quarter. Glad I wasn't outside for that. Like you, I've been in a silver slump-I did find a 1960 Canadian dime this weekend but I was in an area that should be producing things much older than that. Your token is cool though. I checked www.tokencatalog.com and they attribute it to two places: Baudette, MN and Hansen, ID. Hope you can get out and find some goodies soon. HH

Hey DirtFlipper, been on a bit of a cold streak myself since a 4 silver day a little over a week ago. have only managed 10 wheats and cool old military button. The weather is starting to get really hot and humid down here again, of course, it`s Texas. I think what little hunting I do until fall will be early in the morning. We`ll break through again on the silver soon. Good luck and I like the token !
