Go-Detect Software & the Deus

There have been several posts on the Go-Detect application and the fact it is not working . . . . . XP knows this and is working on addressing it with the application. When they have it resolved, they will make that announcement.

People have also question the fact that it appears to connect to some units and not others. They are blaming this on some older units not having Bluetooth capabilities which will impact the ability to use the application. This is untrue and when the software in Go-Detect is fully flushed out, it will work with all Deus units.

If people want to exchange thoughts on the application, feel free to do so here but please do not speculate on hardware versions or other facts that are based on supposition rather than fact.

XP has acknowledged that the Go Detect application is NOT functioning as intended at this point so to postulate why gains nothing. They are aware of the issue and are working on a solution that will work with all Deus models - not just the new ones.

I couldn't get my phone to see the detector till I discovered that I had to start the app then turn on the remote. Works every time, only thing I don't like is app is an energy hog to the point where the battery in my Samsung S4 only lasts 3 or 4 hours. This is with the map in satellite mode which probably uses much more data and computing power.

Bumping this- Really like the app and its abilities. The connection to the coil is hat and miss so I haven't seen it actually log a signal like it will.

Worked an area Saturday and couldn't believe I didn't find some items in a certain area. Later the app showed me I missed 99.9999999% of the area. I would have sworn I covered it much better. The export to Google Earth is awesome.

Can't wait to use it more.

I think it's important to distinguish between "Go-Detect" and the Android program called "XP Detect" or something like that. Go-Detect is not the same application.
