Welcome to the forum . I too use a x-terra 70 I have the 9inch 18.75 khz coil, 9inch stock coil, 6 inch dd and the 10.5 7.5 khz coil. Be sure to read the faq faq post on the xterra forum also. I have been xterra of some sort for about 4 years now. I mostly civil war relic hunt now but like hunting coins also.

Welcome To The Forum,

Over the years, I've used a variety of machines. My last detector was an X-terra 70 and my present detector is an X-terra 505. I use the stock coils and find that they're very accurate, get good depth, and easy to swing for extended periods of time. Also pin-pointing is a breeze with the stock coils. If you're new to metal detecting, you may wish to view the River City Treasure Club website, as it was established for those new to the hobby of metal detecting.
