wanted you to know what He has done for me! I have been ill and Cliff and I didn't make it to our nephew's, Scott (20), going away party! He joined the Navy Seals last year and was supposed to leave in Sept, but they didn't have a place for him then, so they said that Jan 22, he would be leaving for Michigan! I had called my sister-in-law, Wanda, (his mom) on Tuesday and was telling her that Cliff had to go to the dr today and we wanted to come by, if we were able to, afterwards! But we wouldn't be able to, as he was going to the Navy office today at 3:00 and with Cliff's appt at 2:30, we wouldn't be able to visit him before he left! After going to the office, Scott would be taken downtown to a hotel or motel to spend the night and then leave out early Thursday morning! But God knew our situation and had His own plan for me!

We left too late for us to be there at 2:30, because of some problems of getting ready in time, and Cliff called the drs office and told them we were running late and he is so slow in getting upstairs by the elevator to the office that Cliff was't able to check in until almost 3:00 pm! (He gets out of breath very easily and has to stop and rest to get his breath before he is able to walk and go again!

I left him out in front of the drs building and left to go to the bank to get some money transferred into my checking from my IRA, so I could pay my mortgage and other bills! While on the way to the bank I was waiting at the light for a left turn in the far left lane and in front of me was a car just like what Wanda drives and I was wondering if it was her, so I was trying to see who the driver was and all of a sudden someone honked beside me in the right lane to turn left, and It was Wanda (in a different car) and my neice Amanda....they were too far back for me to see the back seat!

I turned and drove on up to where I needed to turn left to go to the bank and while at the redlight....there was Wanda, Amanda and in the back seat was Scott right beside me! We all waved at each other again and Scott and I waved to each other and I mouthed bye and he mouthed bye back at me! I turned left and they went straight ahead going to the Navy office, I suppose, as he had to be there by 3:00 pm!

Now, I wanted to see Scott before he left for MI and God fixed it to where I could, although we didn't get to talk to each other, but I had already talked to him Tues over the phone and told him I loved him and to have a safe journey! I had already been praying for him and Wanda (as it is difficult for her since Larry passed away in 2007 (by suicide) but she said she knows that life goes on and nothing ever stays the same, so I hope and pray she will be okay with Scott gone away from home and he will be happy in the Navy Seals!

Sorry about the long post, but you should know me by now.....Ma cannot write without telling the details of the whole story! Posted after midnight for Wed...Jan 21, 09!

God Bless!
Betty

where in MI is he going? No water up here it is all frozen! :)

Good afternoon Bro Harold and I am glad I got to see him, too, even if it was only a few minutes! He is really a good kid...well if they're under 30, they are kids to Ma (Grandma)!! Thanks for your blessings for Cliff and me! I am really tired and sore, today, from shopping in that monstrosity of a store, Walmart, yesterday! He had to have some prescriptions filled! It is HUGH!! Cliff rides the scooter or whatever you call it? But he still gets very tired before we get done purchasing supplies and some food to hold us over until we get to Aldi's, which is a little cheaper than Walmart! Not getting a lot done in the house, as I stay ill too much and he can't help me at all like he used to do......but I'm getting anxious to move down to Cuba, MO and get rid of the expenses I keep trying to keep up with! Hope all is well with you and yours! God Bless! Sister Betty

Oh yes he does, Bro Steve, and I was up after midnight because I started writing my post on Wednesday and by the time I was ready to post my message it was after midnight, so that is why I said what I did! :) I type long posts most of the time and it takes time to make sure they are done good enough to read, as I often make mistakes by hitting the wrong letters on the keyboard and leaving off endings on some words! I'm thinking one way but my fingers type something else! I was taught to check anything I type!! I still haven't gotten used to this new, smaller keyboard!

Also, I never go to bed until after midnight most of the time, unless I am very sleepy, ill or both! That way I don't have to wake up so often in the night or real early morning to use the bathroom.....My deepest sleeping is in the mornings and has always been....but I had to get up early on the farm and while the kids were growing up or I had to be at the work place early! Nights were always better for me, and I worked nights and never got home or in bed until 2:00 am when I was working in the financial department at St. John's Mercy as a night bookkeeper and then during the day when I was pregnant with Tami, my last child! Then when my ex left, I worked at the Lutheran Church MO Synod at nights, until I went on the daytime shift, processing Ins. claims..........so I am a night owl! HOOT, HOOT, HOOT! See, I don't write just a little, I post a lot! You can call me, Gabby! :) God Bless! Betty

try to write something to most of my brothers and sisters posts, but few do on mine! I'm beginning to think maybe they don't like what I post about Jesus or Cliff and I! Always encouraging to get some feed back! That's why I try to encourage others with what I post....sometimes the world's ways are upsetting though, but we have Jesus and He is our blessed Lord and Savior! God Bless! Betty

Yes, He sure does and thank you, Mike (Chgo area)....stay warm and be safe traveling when you do! Good luck and God Bless you in finding the nice goodies! :) Betty

Jesus then everything else is second nature. When people argue the Bible with me and say some stuff is not so I ask them if they believe the very first sentence in the Bible. If they do then all else is secondary. God bless you all, steve in so az

Thanks Steve! Yes, when we accept and love Jesus.....then whatever else is argued over doesn't matter....for God's truth shall pevail for our Lord never lies or fails and loves us with an everlasting love! :) God Bless! Betty
