Going to Florida

Well I want to try my new Ecalibur in Florida this winter as a get away from the Michigan cold. My problem is I am getting one of those budget Flights from Spirit and I will be doing carry on luggage only. I am thinking I can have my detector shipped to the condo we are staying at in Ft Meyers. My concern is that my long handled beach scoop will be cost prohibitive to ship. have others done this and by what methods did they find shipping the best and most cost effective? Any ideas would be appreciated.

my question to you is this, are you just hunting wet sand and dry sand?? if so just borrow someones shovel down here.. if your going into water well, you might want to hook up with someone in ft Myers and see if they'd let you borrow there scoop? are just pay the high fees to ship ups.

Was hoping to do some water detecting, but cost may infringe on that. i am doing some checking now on shipping costs.
